NEW WEB SITE JOINS FORCES TO GET GIRLS MOVING NEW YORK, May 20, 2004 In an effort to combat the alarming physical and psychological health hazards affecting America's young girls, the Women's Sports Foundation (WSF) is launching GoGirlGo.com on the occasion of the organization's 30th anniversary. Designed and created by Mediapolis, inc., the site is the lead media piece for a three-year initiative featuring partnerships with Advanta Corp., Gatorade, Russell Corporation and the William Wrigley Jr. Company. The initiative aims to get one million inactive girls to participate in regular physical activity and keep another one million active girls from dropping out of physical activity. GoGirlGo.com features organizing tools for adults and, most importantly, an online community called GoGirlWorld where girls girls can share their experiences and learn about different activities. The site uses content management software designed by Mediapolis specifically for WSF's staff to be able to provide a wide range of engaging features.
