JTA Selects Web Shop to Completely Reengineer Its Site

NEW YORK, NY -- JTA, the international news service that provides up-to-the-minute reports, analysis pieces and features on events and issues of concern to the Jewish people, announced today that it has chosen Mediapolis, inc., to reengineer its Web site, JTA.org.

The new site will offer a updated presentation of JTA's broad range of content, and it will integrate features that have been up until now run through different services. It will also streamline the backend operation of JTA, allowing correspondents around the world to easily post stories and edit content and facilitating the syndication of news stories by JTA's dozens of client news organizations.

Established in 1917 JTA has correspondents in New York, Washington, Jerusalem, Moscow and 30 other cities around the globe who provide in-depth coverage of political, economic and social developments affecting Jews in North and South America, Israel, Europe, Africa and Australia. Throughout its history, JTA has established a reputation for journalistic integrity, outstanding reporting and insightful analysis. Over the years, the Jewish community has come to rely on JTA as the single most credible source of news and analysis available about events and issues of Jewish interest anywhere in the world. Headquartered in New York, JTA is a not-for-profit corporation governed by an independent Board of Directors. It has no allegiance to any specific branch of Judaism or political viewpoint.
